FREIA came about as I was working on the FREI vibe. I discovered that by changing a single resistor, you could turn the Uni-Vibe preamp into a roaring fuzz. I made that resistor its own knob, the bias knob. FREIA sounds similar to members of the Tonebender family of circuits, but it’s also its own unique thing. You can also use it for all sorts of lower gain or even clean boost purposes and there’s quite a bit of output volume at hand when needed. As opposed to most fuzzes that allow you to gate the signal, FREIA actually becomes louder as you push it towards the velcro sounds, which is very cool.

Only feed it 9VDC centre tip negative and expect it to draw about 150mA of current worst case scenario.
