MIDNATTSSOL is my hômmage to this very concept. Three modes of fuzz, 256 combinations of vibe, novel expression modes including direct control of the phasing itself, like some kind of high-powered "uni-wah" and just endless hours of pure joy. It's not cheap, of course, and not without its quirks, but how could it be?
